Miss Jane Repurposes

*

One has to live somewhere.7 (Doesn't she?)
Buy or rent, money must be spent.
The world is necessity.8

Miss Jane loves clutter, debris.
In trash she perceives longevity, durable content.
One has to live somewhere. (Doesn't she?)

"Went off, earned a degree.
Now what?" To learn is not to prevent.
The world is necessity.

Miss Jane eyes her stubby toes, agrees to disagree.
What her mama sees as failure, she sees as event.
One has to live somewhere. (Doesn't she?)

"Didn't your auntie throw out that settee?"
Mama, again. Mama, the frequent.
The world is necessity.

Cast-offs are Miss Jane's coterie.
What's missing, she invents.
One has to live somewhere. (Doesn't she?)
The world is necessity.
